Improvements to pool changing facilities at Waterworld commence Monday 12 March 2018
After the recent refurbishment to the fitness suite at Wrexham Waterworld it is now the turn of the pool changing facilities to be improved!
Freedom Leisure, the centre operators on behalf of Wrexham County Borough Council will be commencing work on 12 March.
The revamp will see Freedom Leisure invest £50,000 via the council funded scheme to improve the Changing Village pool facilities to support the £10,000 of work already completed at the back end of 2017 to refurbish the lockers in the pool changing area.
Phase one will focus on the two communal shower areas in the pool changing village and will include: modern wall cladding and a retiled vinyl ceiling that will make the area fresh, modern and easier to clean while new lighting will make the area brighter and more inviting improving energy efficiency. New eco shower fittings will complete, improving the customer showering experience that will lessen the impact on water consumption and the entire area will be refreshed.
We ask that customers bear with us over the coming weeks as we get the work done. We will work on one area at a time to minimise disruption and plan to have both areas completed in time for the Easter school holiday. Please be aware that access and egress will be affected during this period.
There is a second phase also in the pipeline for mid-April with details yet to be confirmed. It is hoped that this will include refurbishment of the private shower cubicles and creation of two private parent child cubicles, along with a refresh to the toilet and vanity areas. Finally in May Freedom Leisure aim to refresh the ground floor male changing area and further details will be provided as those plans progress.
If you require any further information or support please ask a member of the team.
Thanks for your patience whilst we complete the next stage of our refurbishments.
