Our fitness courses offer a fun way to learn something new or progress with skills in a current activity. They can be a great way of achieving a fitness goal, making new friends and taking your mind off daily pressure for an hour or so.

The courses vary in length and run during term time only unless otherwise stated.

Membership is not required although some courses offer discount for members and/or key card holders.

You can simply book on to a course at the leisure centre or by calling 01483 771122.
Your instructor will be on hand to welcome you and help you get started.

beginners pilates

Pilates is a complete exercise method developed by its founder Joseph Pilates over the course of a lifetime, dedicated to improving physical and mental health.

Pilates focuses on building your body's core strength and improving your posture through a series of low repetition low impact stretching and conditioning exercises. By core strength, we are talking about your back, abdominal and pelvic muscles. Through Pilates, you will be able to develop these muscles without adding bulk, increasing your flexibility and agility and at the same time toning your stomach and thigh muscles.

This beginners yoga course will help you understand your body, increase your flexibility, increase your muscle strength and tone, protect from injuries and improve you balance. if you feel intimidated by joining an all level class this is ideal for you.  you may be surprised how you progress!
