Changes during the COVID-19 pandemic

Following the government's guidance we have limited the amount of people using our facilities to ensure they are safe.

Please see the information below for how to visit the gym, book a place in a group fitness class, rackets court or 3G football pitch.

how you can help

Follow government guidance 

  • Keep your distance and observe any queuing intructions
  • Contactless or online payments are preferred
  • Wash your hands before and after your visit
  • Bring a personal gym towel and exercise mat if possible
  • Use hand sanitiser provided
  • Bring pre-filled water bottles - no water fountains
  • Clean down machines and equipment before and after use
  • No hire equipment
  • Arrive changed & ready for your visit - no showers or changing rooms
  • Bring/buy your own padlock for the lockers - no bags in the gym or studios. 
  • Spectators are not allowed in order to minimise the number of people in the building for your safety. If you are not engaged in an activity please visit the cafe or leave the building.
  • Please be aware that the changing rooms and showers are closed.

  • Please don’t arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your booking.
    The number of people allowed in the building is currently restricted for your safety so you may be asked to wait outside.

  • Please also remember "The Rule of Six"  - do not arrive or congregate in a group totalling more than six people.

 

Track and trace

The lead booker will be responsible for recording the names and addresses of all additional players in line with the government's track and trace policy. The NHS test and trace app QR code is available in reception and at other points around the building. Please scan or sign in on arrival.

Fair use

During this time of restricted class sizes and reduced programme we ask that you would help support fair usage for everyone by following these points:

  • Please only book one class per day in advance.
  • Please cancel your booked class as soon as possible if you can’t attend to allow someone else to participate.

gym

There is no need to book the gym in advance, howver there may be waiting times during peak periods ( generally 6-8pm weekdays).

  • There are a maximum of number of 40 people in the gym.
  • 60 minute sessions have been removed. Customers may visit when they want during opening hours, however we would still advise for health and safety reasons that your workout time is used efficiently and time in the gym is kept to the minimum.
  • The gym layout has been modified to increase the space between pieces of equipment.
  • PLEASE BRING A PADLOCK for your locker (also available to purchase from reception).
    Coin return lockers are not currently available.
  • Bags are not allowed in the gym.
  • Additional cleaning points with sanitiser and paper towel.
  • No changing rooms or showers so please come ready for action!
  • Please bring your water bottle.

fitness classes

  • Classes have educed numbers of participants and increased spacing in the studios
  • Start and end times are staggered to minimise the number of people in the buildling.
  • Studios will be cleaned after every class.
  • In order to give everyone an opportunity to attend a class please only  book one class per day in advance and please cancel in good time if your circumstances change and you can't attend.

If you have a key card you can register to online bookings - this will save having to enter details each time a booking is made and if you are entitled to a discount or are an annual/monthly member will return the correct price for your membership type.

If you do not have a key card you can still book but will be prompted to enter your contact details

3G Football information

The pitches are available for the normal 7 a-side play, there is hand sanitiser and sanitiser for the ball available. Lead bookers for all sports are required to keep a list of players contact details in line with government track and trace policy. Please be aware that the changing rooms and showers will not be available.
