Withdean Sports Complex – Customer Update
We would like to sincerely apologise to all our customers for the disruption caused at Withdean Sports Complex over the past few weeks due to ongoing drainage issues, which have unfortunately resulted in the temporary closure of showers and toilet facilities.
We fully understand how frustrating this situation has been and are extremely sorry for the inconvenience it has caused. The nature of the issue has been complex and the root cause of the problem has been identified away from the main building at Withdean, requiring extensive investigation and coordinated action between multiple organisations and we would like to acknowledge Southern Water, Brighton & Hove City Council and a number of other contractors as well as our own team here at Withdean for working tirelessly together to resolve the problem as quickly and safely as possible.
We are pleased to confirm that good progress has been made and we are confident that the main downstairs changing areas will be fully operational by lunchtime on Wednesday 14 January. We do however envisage further works at a later date to completely resolve the drainage problems but we will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our customers and community for their patience, understanding and support during what has been a very challenging and frustrating period for everyone involved. We truly appreciate your continued loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to fully operational facilities very soon.
