Drowning Prevention Week 15-25th June.

June 10 2019

One person drowns every 20 hours in the UK and hundreds more suffer life changing injuries through near drowning.

Learn how to be safe in and around water.

Drowning prevention week (14th-24th June) is a national campaign from the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS). By spreading water safety advice far and wide, drowning prevention week aims to teach people how to stay safe near water.

Our swim school has over 900 children enrolled, learning important water safety including, retrieval, entry/exit from the water, floatation and swimming skills.

We are also working closely with a number of local primary schools on the importance of staying safe in and around the water.

Grab some of the drowning activity & puzzle sheets from reception and complete them for a chance to win a months worth of free swimming lessons.
