Coronavirus Update

Our centres plan to reopen in line with Government guidance and under our “new normal” operating procedures with the necessary social distancing and hygiene measures in place to provide you with a safe, clean and comfortable environment to use.

We are really excited to welcome you back through our doors on Saturday 25th July. Please note we have made some changes to our opening times and are currently only offering gym, swimming, some court hire and classes, with a takeaway service from the cafe.

Over the last few weeks the team at our centre have been working hard to make the centre as safe and enjoyable as ever. Here are a range of ways we aim to keep you safe.

booking to use the facility

To help maintain social distancing in the centre we ask our customers to book if they wish to attend a gym/class/swim session. Members may book up to 8 days in advance and non-members will be able to request a casual membership number from reception that allows them to book 1 day in advance (payment for session will need to be taken on the day).

Gym slots will be for a duration of 45 minutes to allow time for our team to clean our facilities and equipment after each session. Please note the dumbbells have been removed from our gym.

Swimming pool slots will be for 1 hour. Timetable can be found here

Studio timetable can be found here.

Bookings can be made online, by telephone or at reception.

swimming pool

Our swimming pool will be bookable in 1 hour time slots with a maximum of 30 swimmers spread out over 3 wide lanes. We ask that at the time of booking you choose a lane and you remain in that lane for the duration of your swim.

Our lanes will be be classified as

  • slow
  • medium
  • medium+*
  • fast

*For the majority of the sessions this lane will be for those that consider themselves to be somewhere between medium and fast. At certain times of the day this lane will be classed as a fast lane for the more experienced swimmer. These times can be found on the timetable here.

Please be considerate to other swimmers and do not congregate at the ends of a lane to chat.

Children are permitted to lane swimming sessions as long as they are capable of swimming numerous lengths.

We will also operate open swim sessions where both pools will be open for general family use.

While the changing rooms are open, where possible please come with swimming attire already on under clothes to minimise the time spent in changing rooms. There are no lockers available but you are able to place your belongings in a basket and take it with you onto poolside. Baskets will then be sanatised on your way out.

Showers are available as you enter the pool but not on exit.

one way system

We have introduced a one way system around our centre to help us maintain social distancing. We ask our customers to arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your booked slot.

Customers will queue outside the centre prior to their booking slot or class; they will be able to follow our one way system to the area of the centre they are booked in to use.

Please maintain social distancing when walking around our centre.

We ask that you do not loiter in the centre before or after your sessions.
