Freedom Leisure – which operates the Sport, Art and Play Development service and four leisure centres on behalf of Worcester City Council – along with Sport Worcester, announces launch of sponsorship packages now available to local organisations to support The City of Worcester Sport Awards. Celebrating local sporting talent, the annual event will take place on 14th September 2017.
Freedom Leisure and Sport Worcester will once again host the annual City of Worcester Sport Awards in partnership with Worcester City Council, to celebrate and recognise local sporting success within Worcester City and spot inspiring future athletes. Held at the University Arena within the City, the event will be hosted by a special guest and welcomes a wide audience from across the sporting field.
This year’s awards saw Worcester swimming Club awarded ‘Club of the Year’, The Black Pear Joggers given the ‘Community Sports Award’ and Roger Prout, honoured for his ‘Contribution to Physical Activity’ to highlight just a few of the wonderful local people and clubs who were recognised.
Freedom Leisure and Sport Worcester are now seeking a number of sponsors to take part in the next event, with three levels of sponsorship available:
“We are delighted to yet again be leading this special evening with Sport Worcester, to host the annual City of Worcester Sport Awards,” says Freedom Leisure Regional Development Manager Hannah Cox. “These awards have become a highlight in the city’s calendar and really help to cement a lasting sporting legacy for the local area, plus they always promise to be a great evening and a wonderful celebration of local talent.
“In previous years we have seen local businesses proudly step up and share this event, showing their support of up-and-coming local talent, adding to the special local and community nature of the event. We are really hoping to see the same again this year with our range of packages – which we feel are good value too.”
