The Sport, Art, Play Development Team work closely with a number of local partners and organisations to develop local community clubs, events and programmes to increase opportunities for local people of all ages and abilities to take part in.
Freedom Leisure develop a range of sport, play and physical activities across the City for people of all ages and abilities. Whether it is an Active Ageing Programme, a youth football programme or a multi-sport programme for families, the team work with local organisations and groups to develop new programmes to get local people more active. In January Freedom Leisure’s Sport, Art and Play Development, along with Worcester Community Trust, Perdiswell Young Peoples Leisure Club and a range of local sports providers, have launched a Youth Sports Programme in the community which has engaged over 100 children aged 11-18 across Worcester city.
