City of Worcester Sports Awards

Freedom Leisure and Sport Worcester celebrate the city's sporting talent by hosting the annual City of Worcester Sport Awards. The 2016 evening took place on Thursday 15th September at the University Arena. Hosted by Steve Cram CBE for the last 3 years, this prestigious annual event celebrates the achievements of the people and clubs who make our local sporting community so successful.

club of the year - Worcester Swimming Club

coach of the year - Mark Stowe

higher educational and further educational sporting achievement - University of Worcester Netball 1st Team

senior male sports person of the year - Matthew Hudson-Smith 

senior female sports person of the year - Rachel Lund

Howard Peter's award for outstanding contribution to physical activity - David Walker
