Here at Rye Sports Centre our 25m swimming pool is a fantastic local resource, it has a gentle sloping entry with hand rail so is fully accessible for anyone with mobility issues and a large spectator viewing gallery.

Our pre-school lessons start from just 6 weeks old introducing youngsters to swimming through fun and games to build water confidence and to work on the core skills needed to learn the four strokes of swimming.
Swim as part of a group exercise programme
It gives you a great workout, gently increasing your pulse and breathing, so it's great for helping to improve your heart health. It also strengthens and tones muscles.

Taking the family to the pool is always going to be great exercise for parents, but in a fun environment. It also allows family bonding time, and the time to teach your children how to be safe around water and how to swim.

Swimming uses all the muscles in the body so you will get a full body workout. Exercising in water makes your body work harder so 30 minutes in a pool is worth 45 minutes of the same activity on land.
