The Queens Baton Relay visited Rhayader Town.

On Thursday 7th September the Queens baton Relay came to Rhayader town, with over 300 children supporting the event, along with many more local spectators also supporting and enjoying the event.  Children paraded through east and north street of Rhayader town before meeting back in the Leisure centre to meet and greet the baten barers which included Mr Tim Davies our former general manager at Rhayader, Rhys Thomas, Heidi Davies, Jess Sims, Raven Hoy and not to mention Mr Dan Lydiate who came back to his home town for the special event. 

With over 300 Children from local schools Rhayader, Crossgates, Cefnllys, Trefonnen & Llanbister who joined together in our sports hall for the celebration of the Queens baton relay visiting Rhayader, which included a performance from Llandrindod Wells High School choir.
