How to access Rhayader Leisure Centre under the 'new normal'

August 7 2020

We're super excited to be opening on 10th August and getting you back to exercise at your favourite Leisure Centre. However, things are going to be a little different to when we closed in March.

We've been working hard to make sure the safety of our customers and staff is our number one focus. We will be following our 'COVID-safety-matters' guidelines and maintaining social distancing within the centre and having a robust and thorough cleaning regime in place to ensure all our customers have the best environment to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing.

monday  9:00am - 9:00pm
tuesday  9:00am - 9:00pm
wednesday  9:00am - 9:00pm
thursday  7:15am - 9:00pm
friday   9:00am - 9:00pm
saturday  8:00am - 13:00pm

general changes

There will be clear signage showing the routes you are required to take around the centre and areas that are out of use.

Changing rooms and showers will be unavailable except for those using our swimming pool. Customers are asked to come prepared i.e. beach ready, with swim wear worn under clothing to minimise your time spent in changing rooms.

We can only accept contactless payments. Please bring change with you if required, for lockers (poolside only) or vending products.

Water fountains are available to fill bottles only.

Our staff will be on hand as always but please remember to respect the social distancing rule when requesting assistance from our team members.

The gym is open during our centre opening hours. There is no longer a requirement to book a slot before visiting the gym, however we do have a limit on the number of customers allowed in the gym at any one time. This is monitored by the team onsite.

We ask that you observe social distancing whilst using the gym and clean down the equipment before and after use.

They gym is regularly cleaned by staff throughout the course of the day.

All fitness classes MUST be booked in advance.

Ideally customers should bring their own mats for classes. If using our centre mats please ensure these are fully sanitised after use.

Our classes will be taking place in our main hall.  We have reduced maximum customer numbers per class to suit the room.

Our revised group exercise timetable is now available.

  • All class equipment will be thoroughly cleaned between sessions.
  • Extra time will be allowed in between classes for cleaning.
  • Class start times will be staggered to avoid congestion at reception and outside the studios.

The swimming pool will be re-opening on the 3rd May. There are various slots available to book in your swim. We have the following sessions available:

lane swim

Continuous swimming of lengths in the pool. Divided into two lanes, fast and slow.

bubble swim

A session of families where a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children are allowed in an area of the pool. We divide the pool into sections 2 shallow and 1 deep.

quiet swim

The pool is divided into sections to allow customers who may not be able to swim lengths back in the pool. Space is limited in these sessions.

We have implemented and enhanced our cleaning regime throughout the centre. All areas will be cleaned regularly. It is essential that members clean down each machine after use – equipment may not be shared unless it has been cleaned down between uses.

Hygiene stations are available in all high-touch areas offering hand sanitiser and medical-grade disinfectant and sanitising wipes.

Personal gym towels are permitted but please use wipes and paper towels provided when cleaning down equipment and dispose of them after each use.

what we need from you
