Swimming and Pool FAQ's
All swimming sessions at the centre MUST be booked in advance. You will no longer be able to just walk into the centre for your swim. You can book your session by telephone and you can book up to 8 days in advance as a member and 7 days in advance for non-members. You will be able to book up to 5 sessions per week.
Please ensure you arrive for your allotted session on time and ‘beach ready’ with your swimming costume under clothing and only use cubicles after your swim and not before. Late entrants will still be required to leave after their 45 minute session and will not be permitted to stay longer.
swim school is back!
We are delighted to announce our swim school is now restarting week commencing the 7th September. It’s been a long time coming I’m sure you’ll agree.
Our terrific teachers are the same, our pools accessible for all, however things have changed with COVID-19. Following safe distance guidelines we’ve made a few changes to reduce our lesson sizes, timing, changing room procedures and program.
COVID-19 Safe for Instructor, Parent & Learner
We will be asking all parents to wear face masks (unless you are exempt) in this area as you support your children to change. Your child will need to come ready to swim with a costume on under clothing (beach ready!) and will only have access to changing rooms on your way out.
No parents will be allow on to poolside but we will be providing a Swimming Warden at your designated drop off and pick up point to ensure the smooth transition at either end of the lesson between us and you.
We will not be able to accommodate any parents on poolside under Swim Wales and Welsh government guidance but we will do our best to provide you with some spectating if possible. Your Swim team will be able to advise you and direct you on this on arrival.
We are now reactivating your direct debt for September and your place on our program is confirmed.
You’ll be pleased to know that the monthly price hasn’t changed and your restarting payment will be taken by Direct Debit on the 1st of each month as normal, the first one being 1st September. Your first monthly payment will be at 50% in recognition that we are missing the first week of the month and the closure in March of this year.
Most lessons have reduced group sizes to support current guidance on from Swim Wales but prices will remain the same.
In most cases instructors will not be in the water with learners. All lessons remain at 30 minutes so please ensure you arrive promptly to benefit from the full experience but not too early as there is limited space for waiting at our centre at present.
Wave 4, 5 & advanced lessons have been adjusted to 30 minutes in line with all other session times for now.
We have worked hard behind the scenes to get our lessons program back up and running, hopefully the whole experience will make you and your child feel safe and in some cases we are hoping it will be an improvement.
