penlan leisure centre can't wait to welcome you back!
We welcome the news from the Welsh Government that leisure centres in Wales will be able to open their doors, and we reopened on the 10th of August, welcoming back our members to our fitness facilities. We aim to keep our centre as welcoming and positive as it has always been whilst complying with all social distancing regulations.
From the 14th of September, it is mandatory that you wear a mask in public areas when you are not taking part in physical activity, please bring your mask with you.

booking your gym session & classes
Please only make a booking if you plan to attend, those who regularly book then cancel may have booking rights suspended.
All gym sessions at the centre MUST be booked in advance. You will no longer be able to just walk into the centre for your workout. You can book your 75 minute session easily online, by telephone, and you can book up to 8 days in advance as a member and 7 days in advance as a non member. Please be aware that the easiest way to book your classes will be digitally.

We remind you to also bring your Freedom card in order to gain access and be registered as part of our track & trace system. You will be able to book up to 7 sessions per week and may only participate in two activities/ sessions per visit.
When arriving, please wait at reception where there may be a queue, you will then be permitted to enter the gym. Late entrants will still be required to leave at the allocated time and will not be permitted to stay longer. This will allow us time to clean the area before the next session and to allow as many people as possible to use the facility each day.
All classes MUST be booked in advance. Our classes will be bookable online with the My Wellness app or by telephone, you will be able to book up to 8 days in advance as a member and 7 days in advance as a non member and may book 2 classes per day, participating in one activity per visit. Please be aware that the easiest way to book your classes will be digitally with the My Wellness App. We remind you to also bring your Freedom card in order to gain access and be registered as part of our track & trace system.

booking – swimming
All swimming sessions at the centre MUST be booked in advance. You will no longer be able to just walk into the centre for your swim. You can book your session by telephone on 01792 588079 and you can book up to 8 days in advance as a member and 7 days in advance for non-members. You will be able to book up to 5 sessions per week and may only participate in one activity per visit.
Please ensure you arrive for your allotted session on time and ‘beach ready’ with your swimming costume under clothing and only use cubicles after your swim and not before. Late entrants will still be required to leave after their 45 minute session and will not be permitted to stay longer.
We have implemented and enhanced our cleaning regime throughout the centre. All areas will be cleaned regulalrly. It is essential that members clean down each machine after use – equipment may not be shared unless it has been cleaned down between uses.

cancelled your membership but want to return?
Good news! If you cancelled your membership after the 1st of February to help you get back training we won't be charging you a re-joining fee, or a fee for this month and we'll also be giving you 50% off next month!
Your fitness is key to staying healthy and not only will it make you feel better, it also boosts your immune system. We recognize some of our members may have left us due to the uncertainty over lockdown, but we are now back and having invested over £6 million in our facilities in the last 18 months, we have a great facility and a dedicated team that we know you will benefit from.

You will be able to freeze your membership for a further three months if you do not currently feel comfortable returning to your local centre, we understand that for those shielding or those who undertake any caring duties it may be hard for you to currently return to your centre with confidence.
