morriston leisure centre can't wait to welcome you back!
We welcome the news from the Welsh Government that leisure centres in Wales and we have reopened from the 10th of August* welcoming back our members to our fitness facilities. We aim to keep our centre as welcoming and positive as it has always been whilst complying with all social distancing regulations.
From the 14th of September, it is mandatory that you wear a mask in public areas when you are not taking part in physical activity, please bring your mask with you.

We are thrilled that you have chosen to remain a member at Morriston leisure centre,
as a thank-you we will be offering the following:
We will not charge ANYTHING in August
We are reducing your direct debit payments in September by 50%. (In September we will collect your direct debit payments after re-opening, with the collection taking place on the 1st September)
In October your payment will revert to full payment amount and will be collected on 1st October, and on the 1st of each month thereafter.

booking your gym session & classes
Please only make a booking if you plan to attend, those who regularly book then cancel may have booking rights suspended.
All gym sessions at the centre MUST be booked in advance. You will no longer be able to just walk into the centre for your workout. You can book your 75 minute session easily online with the My Wellness app, by telephone, and you can book up to 8 days in advance as a member and 7 days for non members. Please be aware that the easiest way to book your classes will be digitally.

We remind you to also bring your Freedom card in order to gain access and be registered as part of our track & trace system. You will be able to book up to 7 sessions per week and may only participate in two activities/sessions per visit.
When arriving, please wait at reception where there may be a queue, you will then be permitted into the gym by a member of staff. Late entrants will still be required to leave at the allocated time and will not be permitted to stay longer. This will allow us time to clean the area before the next session and to allow as many people as possible to use the facility each day.
All classes MUST be booked in advance. Our classes will be bookable online as before, you will be able to book 2 classes per day and may only participate in two activities per visit. Please be aware that the easiest way to book your classes will be digitally with the My Wellness app. We remind you to also bring your Freedom card in order to gain access and be registered as part of our track & trace system. Morriston swimming pool will remain closed with a view to reopen its doors the autumn, members will be permitted to use our brilliant swimming pool at Penlan as an alternative as normal which opened on the 10th of August alongside the gym at Morriston.

We have implemented and enhanced our cleaning regime throughout the centre. All areas will be cleaned regulalrly. It is essential that members clean down each machine after use – equipment may not be shared unless it has been cleaned down between uses.
what we need from you
cancelled your membership but want to return?Good news! If you cancelled your membership after the 1st of February to help you get back training we won't be charging you a re-joining fee, or a fee for this month and we'll also be giving you 50% off next month!
Your fitness is key to staying healthy and not only will it make you feel better, it also boosts your immune system. We recognize some of our members may have left us due to the uncertainty over lockdown, but we are now back and having invested over £6 million in our facilities in the last 18 months, we have a great facility and a dedicated team that we know you will benefit from.

for those not ready to return
You will be able to freeze your membership for a further three months if you do not currently feel comfortable returning to your local centre, we understand that for those shielding or those who undertake any caring duties it may be hard for you to currently return to your centre with confidence.
