Freedom Leisure Malvern Splash works in partnership with Swim England to deliver their Learn to Swim Pathway for children. Our lesson programme follows a nationally recognised syllabus and awards system, produced by swimming’s governing body.
The Swim England Learn to Swim pathway incorporates the following frameworks here at Malvern Splash.
Children are guided through the Learn to Swim Pathway from infanthood and throughout childhood, a focus on fun and enjoyment is paramount to our lessons in order to keep children excited and interested in their lessons all whilst building key aquatic skills and mastering strokes. A variety of equipment is used in our lessons and the instructors teach in the water with swimmers until the end of Stage 4 (able to swim 25metres).
Upon completing the Learn to swim and Aquatic skills framework, swimmers are invited to partake in alternative aquatic challenges, including Rookie Lifeguard Course and JuniorFit.
Rookie Lifeguard- Hour long sessions which deliver life-saving skills both in and out of the water, including CPR using manikins, basic first aid and in-water rescue techniques.
Junior Fit- 45 minute fitness swimming sessions, which includes distance and endurance swims with starts and turns, relays, sprints and much more.
Our Swim school also offers crash courses during holidays and private lessons
Our programme runs 50 weeks per year and only breaks for Christmas. Our lessons can be paid by direct debit and also provides the child with free unlimited swimming in open swim sessions.
All our qualified swimming instructors are friendly, approachable and DBS checked. They are trained to deliver the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway and follow continuous assessment, rewarding progress and achievement with Swim England awards. Individual weekly feedback is provided via the Home Portal facility that is available to all enrolled in our learn to swim scheme.
