Customer Update - COVID-19

An update on procedures at Malvern Splash

October 7 2020

It’s been incredible to see so many people return to Malvern Splash and we now believe that the time is right to ease some of the restrictions that we have had in place since re-opening.

We have reviewed customer usage of the the gym and classes, along with our own processes, and we can now safely start re-introduce some of the facilities that haven't been available to date.

It is important to us that the opportunity to exercise is as accessible as possible, particularly at this time.

We will still be relying on our customers to adhere to the rules we have in place and to work with us to ensure that we stay Covid secure.

So what's changing?

Gym Bookings

From Monday 12th of October you will no longer be required to book into the gym. Based on usage figures we are happy to return to our gym swipe system at the turnstiles. You will be required to bring your Freedom Card to scan in. If you haven't got a card then please ask at Reception. If you forget your card please check in at reception as we will still need to record your visit for track & trace purposes. You will no longer be required to leave through the back of the gym and can leave through the main entrance.

Changing Rooms

We know that a lack of changing facilities has been a barrier for some people, so from Monday 12th October we will fully re-open our changing facilities, including lockers and showers. There will be maximum capacities so please adhere to the rules that will be posted around the Centre.

Water Fountains

Our water fountain in the gym will be made available again but for refill ONLY! You will not be able to drink directly from the fountain.

Face Coverings

The settings in which face coverings are required has been expanded. This does not include gyms, leisure centres and other sport facilities, however we are encouraging visitors to wear a face covering (where possible) when NOT engaging in sport and physical activity and moving throughout the centre especially in enclosed public areas (including our reception area). We think this is good idea considering you may pass other customers when coming and going to changing rooms

Please note there is no chnage in process for group exercise bookings.

THANK YOU for your support!

We are thrilled with how our re-opening has gone over the last few months and we are committed to keeping our customers safe, while encourgaing more people to return to exercise.

The support of our customers has been fantastic and we are counting on them to help us through the next period as our procedures and exercise environment develops.

You can learn more about what we've achieved since re-opening by checking out our latest video here.

We look forward to seeing you on your next visit.
