family bubble time – these are bookable at reception now.

Both the lagoon pool and teaching pool will be open with no divides or lanes but you will need to pre book a space and follow social distancing guidelines at all times. Please see below for details and procedures we have put in place to keep everyone safe.

Lagoon Pool Sessions:

Saturday: 12:00-12:45, 14:00-14:45, 15:00-15:45 & 16:00-16:45

Sunday: 13:00-13:45 & 14:00-14:45

Teaching Pool Sessions:

Saturday: 14:00-14:45, 15:00-15:45 & 16:00-16:45

Sunday: 13:00-13:45 & 14:00-14:45

guidelines

  • Paid for at the time of booking. The Bubble consists of up to 2 adults & up to 4 kids, our normal admission and under 8s policy apply.

 

  • Only the person who booked the session needs to give their Test & Trace details on arrival, or show their green dot.

 

  • Swimmers should be told at time of booking not to arrive any earlier than 10 mins before the start of the session. They will be checked-in using our queuing system on the concourse.

 

  • On booking the customer must choose either the Lagoon or teaching pool, there is no transferring between the pools. The slide will be open for those who have booked the Lagoon.

 

  • Families will need to wait for the lifeguard to take them down to poolside and ensure that outdoor shoes are removed before entering poolside.

 

  • No lockers available, no cubicles before the swim but these will be open after. No showers after the swim.

 

  • Lifeguard to ensure shoes are taken off and that everyone has their costumes on ready. LG will show the swimmers to the socially distanced spaces around the poolsides. Belongings need to be left on the ledges in the teaching pool and the ledges and waiting area to the east of the Lagoon.

 

  • No lanes in teaching pool, no floats or toys given out. Customers may only bring in goggles, armbands, baby floatation vests.

We are excited to welcome families back to King Alfred Leisure Centre and ask everyone to follow the guidelines to maintain a safe and fun environment as we introduce these sessions.
