Following our promise to celebrate some of our most loyal members, we’d like to share with you the journey of Kevin Taylor, since joining K2 Crawley in 2014.
Kevin has been a regular user of the centre and is very well respected amongst the staff and members here at K2. Kevin has always been active mainly playing squash, football and using the gym.
Kevin broke his heel bone when he was playing squash in November 2016, but the gym staff helped him on his road to recovery. Still with a boot on his foot, Kevin came back to the gym in January 2017, only 2 months after his accident! Two of our gym instructors, Steph and Gareth, began by giving him rehabilitation exercises to assist with his recovery process. This included a series of different exercises to strengthen his heel and the area around it, with stability & mobility exercises, and lots of stretches! The heel is now much improved and Kevin is back to playing squash, football and continues to train in the K2 gym on a regular basis.

‘All the staff have been fantastic in helping me recover from my injury. I’d especially like to thank Steph and Gareth, who both have played a huge role to ensure I regained full fitness. The programme they provided me with was exactly what I needed at the time. I’d also like to thank Dave, Alex and Kate who also took the time to show me alternative exercises and have helped me enhance my knowledge greatly. Also, a special mention to Lizzie from Total Body Treatments at K2, who I have had sports massages from. She has been really supportive towards my recovery.’
