Freedom leisure offer a range of rehabilitation and specialised programmes to meet your needs.
The programme consists of 20 exercise sessions over a 10 week period. Sessions can be used either in the gym, on selected GP referral classes or in the swimming pool.
Your first session will be a friendly introduction to our gym. One of our specially trained instructors will aim to find out a little bit more about you and your goals. We will then be able to design a fitness programme based on your current fitness levels whilst taking into account your referral needs.
Our aim is to get more people enjoying a healthier, more active lifestyle. Once you have completed the referral programme we are dedicated to helping you keep active and to achieve your goals. We offer lots of different membership options, or you can come in as a casual user or take out our Health membership for up to 12 months.
The referral programme is subsidised by Freedom Leisure allowing us to offer excellent value of money. You can pay for individual sessions if you want to try it first before switching to the Health Membership.
Our trained staff are always available to help you and your eventual goal is to become largely independent and exercise regularly as a matter of habit. Exercise is fun and it is good for you, come along and see the difference it can make!

A specific programme for those recovering from heart conditions. This is a fully supervised scheme which follows the british association of cardiac rehabilitation guidelines. Your cardiologist or GP will be able to refer you onto the programme which is run as 20 sessions over a 10 week period. We also run a group exercise class for cardiac rehabilitation once you have completed your course.
Freedom Leisure offer specific exercise classes led by a specialist cancer trained instructor. Benefits include: Group support, increased stamina, strength, flexibility and well-being, increased confidence. Classes take place in a fun, sociable environment with a range of activities available.
A studio based classes, suitable for GP referral clients as well as those starting exercise for the first time who prefer a gentle, supervised exercise class.
If you are new to pilates or have back problems we have a class for you. Please advise our experienced instructor what your health issues are when you start the class
gentle water based exercise using the water to support joints and improve fitness - good fun class!
why not come along every wednesday at 1.00pm for a social, friendly session that is suitable for all ages and abilities particulaly those with balance issues as its a seated class. Gentle activity that improves coordination and concentration in a fun environment. £3 a session for non members and includes a tea or coffee in the cafe afterwards. Wheelchair access available
