The 18th – 19th May saw the George Campbell hold its annual TBEW indoor cycling charity event to raise money for Magpas Air Ambulance and with everyone’s huge effort we raised £3500.
The event saw 60 riders from across Fenland come together to take on ten 45-minute cycle rides/classes over the 2 days.
To really push our fund raisers to the next level welcomed the MYZONE heart rate tracking system for the first time, giving everyone real time feedback on the big screens with some immersive visuals.
This year welcomed an amazing top tear line up of instructors and 2 international guest presenters:
Giancarlo and Evangelos travelled all the way from Italy and Greece to treat the riders to some truly special rides and to make TBEW a global reaching event.
Jo Lord and Pru Comben – 2 Elite Level 3 Spinning Instructors who taught some immersive visual rides.
Neil Fitton – UK Spinning Master insturctor that took everyone through a superb Saturday afternoon ride.
Maddy Bard – ICG Master Instructor, who travelled from London especially to teach a fantastic class on the Sunday morning.
With these incredible instructors was are very own Fitness Instructors Wayne, Tony, Tracy and Andy all leading the classes.
A big thank you goes to our main sponsor and member at the George Campbell, Mick Barber. His company, Silent Witness dash cams, provided some of the best goodie bags we have seen at a charity event. Each rider received a goodie bag crammed full of items including, sweat towels, key rings, torches, Haribo and HIGH 5 energy gels.
The Ship Inn, March, supported a Saturday night BBQ with a Bar and Disco for the riders and their family to enjoy and a big thank to Paul Wing and his team
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated money, prizes, support and their time to help set up and make the event what it was.
