Health Programmes

Freedom Leisure is committed in helping local communities improve their health and well being. We know that for the majority people coming to a leisure facility at the best of times can be an uncomfortable experience.

At our centre in Milton Keynes we are trying to remove as many barriers as possible and the creation of a GP Referral programme is one way to help people actually enjoy becoming more healthy. We are very excited to be part of the Active Milton Keynes Exercise Referral Scheme. They have been very helpful and even provided funding to help our team become qualified to deliver the sessions.

The GP Referral programme will help people once referred by their GP take important steps to feeling more healthy.

To be referred all we ask is that you visit your local GP, discuss your needs and hopefully your GP will prescribe physical activity as part of an improvement plan.

Our programme will be run by Lee. Lee is our Fitness Co-ordinator (you can read more about him in our testimonial section) and fully qualified to understand the needs of all our users.

Once referred by a GP we will invite you to come to the centre and meet Lee. He will sit down with you over a coffee and chat about what you need to do. He will create a plan that will work but will hopefully make you enjoy your time with us.

The centre at Milton Keynes is very friendly. The facilities are clean and tidy and it has a real community feel.

Becoming more healthy can be fun, at Milton Keynes we will definitely make it fun.
