August 6 2020

We're super excited to be opening on 10th August and getting you back to exercise at your favourite Leisure Centre.  However, things are going to be a little different to when we closed in March.

We've been working hard to make sure the safety of our customers and staff is our number one focus. We will be following our 'COVID-safety-matters' guidelines and maintaining social distancing within the centre and having a robust and thorough cleaning regime in place to ensure all our customers have the best environment to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing.

general changes

There will be clear signage showing the routes you are required to take around the centre and areas that are out of use. If in any doubt, please keep to the right hand side in corridors and on stairs at all times.

Changing rooms and showers will be unavailable except for those using our swimming pools. Customers are asked to come prepared i.e. beach ready, with swim wear worn under clothing to minimise your time spent in changing rooms.

We can only accept contactless payments.  Please bring change with you if required, for lockers (poolside only) or vending products.

Water fountains will be unavailable, please bring pre-filled water bottles with you.

Our staff will be on hand as always but please remember to respect the social distancing rule when requesting assistance from our team members

All fitness sessions at the centre MUST be booked in advance.  You will no longer be able to just walk into the centre for your workout.  Please book your session online here

Please ensure you arrive for your allotted session on time.  Late entrants will still be required to leave after their booked gym session time which is one hour and will not be permitted to stay longer.  This will allow us time to clean the area before the next session and to allow as many people as possible to use the facility each day.

The gym will have limited numbers in there to give you confidence and space to enjoy your session.

The bookable slots are as follows;

Monday to Friday

6.45am-7.45am, 8.15am-9.15am, 9.45am-10.45am, 11.15am-12.15pm, 12.45pm-1.45pm, 2.15pm-3.15pm, 3.45pm-4.45pm, 5.15pm-6.15pm, 6.45pm-7.45pm, 8.15pm-9.15pm

All fitness classes MUST be booked in advance.  Please book your session online here

Ideally customers should bring their own mats for classes. If using our centre mats please ensure these are fully sanitised after use.

Our classes will mainly take place in the Sports Hall. Pilates will still be in the studio.  We have reduced maximum customer numbers per class to suit the room.

Our revised group exercise timetable can be seen here

  • All class equipment will be thoroughly cleaned between sessions.
  • Extra time will be allowed in between classes for cleaning.
  • Class start times will be staggered to avoid congestion at reception and outside the studios.

Our swimming pool will reopen on 17th August. Our swimming sessions will be pre bookable slots (bookable in advance).

  • We are encouraging customers to come 'beach ready' to reduce the time in the changing rooms area, as we have reduced the capacity to 5 in each changing room. 2 family changing rooms will be available to use also. We have also removed lockers for more a focused cleaning regime.
  • We will be operating a 'double lane' arrangement in the pool to provide more space between swimmers. With a fast lane and a sloww lane, and a maxmum of 10 swimmers per lane. If you are asked to move lanes by one of our lifeguards, please do so without conflict as this is only for everyones safety and enjoyment. Please note there is to be no overtaking or butterfly swum.
  • There will be no flume or spa pool available.
  • Please bring appropriate denomination for the lockers as we are operating as a cashless facility, and no change will be available.

family bubble pool hire

We have 2 areas for families to hire for an enjoyable swim.

Beach area - this is suitable for children aged 8 years and under and for a maximum of 6 per family session.

Shallow end - this is suitable for children aged 12 years and under and for a maximum of 4 per family session.

please find our times listed here

We have implemented and enhanced our cleaning regime throughout the centre.  All areas will be cleaned regularly.  It is essential that members clean down each machine after use – equipment may not be shared unless it has been cleaned down between uses.

Hygiene stations are available in all high-touch areas offering hand sanitiser and medical-grade disinfectant and sanitising wipes.

Personal gym towels are permitted but please use wipes and paper towels provided when cleaning down equipment and dispose of them after each use.
