Join us for a class with a difference
Every woman experiences menopause differently, for some symptoms are mild and pass quickly. For others, it's an explosion of hot flushes and mood swings.
There are the physical symptoms of menopause which can include a tendancy to lose muscle mass and gain abdominal fat and a higher risk of osteoporosis as the lack of estrogen makes it hard for the body to lay down bone. Then there are also the less talked about psychological symptoms such as loss of self confidence, low self esteem, anxiety and depression.
The good news is you can adopt lifestyle changes to help cope with the shifts occuring in the body and the mind. Although not proven as a means of reducing menopausal symptoms, exercise has shown to help prevent weight gain and ward off heart disease. It can also relieve stress, increase self confidence and help strengthen bones.
Join us every Saturday 7.45-8.45am for a new class of gentle exercise and stretching. Each class will vary to include sessions both inside and outside the gym. Power walking, resistance circuits, cardio and weights all designed to support you through the stages of menopause.
This class is open to anyone who would like to experience the benefits of getting more active.
Starts Saturday 29th February
