We have made changes to our previous swim school program to ensure we comply with the Welsh Government guidance. Our pool & staff follow safe distance guidelines while ensuring our lessons are still fun for students and a great place in which to learn an important life skill! Our Team will be contacting current Swim School customers this week to rebook you back onto the Learn to Swim Programme.

A place for everybody!

We are very peased to be able to announce that we can offer a place on our swim school to all of our current LTS members whilst ensuring social distancing.

We are very busy contacting all swimmers who are currently enrolled on the program. If you haven't heard form us please call 01691 778666 or contact chirk@freedom-leisure.co.uk

What's changed?

To adhere to social distancing we have made a number of changes to our swimming lessons. Please familiarize yourself with our new system before your first lesson.

You will need to wear a mask in the building UNLESS you are taking part in any physical activity, children under 11 will also be exempt.

All class times staggered by 10 minutes so there is only ever one lesson going in and one lesson going out at a time.

Please don't arrive more than 5 minutes early for your lesson. You won't be allowed into the building until the previous lesson has filed through.

Class sizes have been reduced.

Swimmers are asked to arrive beach ready (With swimming costume on underneath their clothes)

Swimmers will get ready for their lesson in the spectators corridor and wait for their lesson there. Social distancing markers are on the floor.

When it's time, the swimming instructor will collect swimmers from the little gate.

We are asking parents of older children (8+) not to spectate as we have a limited number of spectator spots available.

Children aged 7 and under can have one adult to spectate. The adult will need to wait with their child in the glass corridor before their lesson. As the children walk through for their lesson the adult can file through to the spectators area.

Spectators have spots to stand on; these are 2m away from the next person, there is no seating available.

After their lesson children will be brought to the main gates (by the changing rooms).

We ask that parents wear a mask in the changing area.

There will be no showers available.

There will be wipes available if you wish to wipe cubicles & benches. Staffs will be in the changing rooms periodically to sanitise the area.

Children will have 10 minutes in the changing rooms before the next class exits the pool.

Please exit through the changing rooms towards reception.

Please collect older children by the front door.
