Aqua Circuit

Aquafit™ is the low impact, high resistance way to exercise. The buoyancy of the water makes it gentle on joints while the constant resistance strengthens muscles and improves cardiovascular fitness.

Regardless of your fitness level you can get a great workout. Your instructor will offer plenty of options to increase or decrease the difficulty of the moves. The water provides equal resistance through your full range of motion, working each pair of muscles simultaneously and keeping you balanced.

Swimming

A gentle swim can burn over 200 Kcal in half an hour. As water is 12 times as dense as air, swimming is a far more effective way of toning your muscles than any other form of cardiovascular exercise that you can do on land. Swimming can support up to 90% of the body’s weight in the water, meaning that those with disabilities, injuries or illnesses like arthritis can take part in a comfortable and safe environment. Swimming will help your wellbeing. 30 minutes of swimming 3 times per week have also seen improved sleep patterns & lower stress levels.

At Chirk we have a 25 metre leisure swimming pool which is perfect for lane swimming or to ralax and unwind after the stresses and strains of the day.
