freedom leisure team charity trail race

June 8 2017

A team from Brecon Leisure Centre took part in the Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival on Sunday 21st May at Builth Wells.

The festival offers a series of challenging but scenic trail races in the heart of mid-wales and takes in valleys, fields, woodland tracks and stunning forestry.

The staff team consisting of (left to right) Wilf Williams, Tassie Field-Williams, Raiff Devlin, Warren Patton, Kona Ozdemir and Kieran Samuel completed a 10km trail race to raise over £700 for the Wales Air Ambulance.

The Wales Air Ambulance is the Lead Charity Partner of the event and we are delighted to support them to help fund their missions across Wales. The charity is funded entirely by public donations and relies on fundraising events such as this to keep the team in operation.

The presentation to Wales Air Ambulance took place at the centre on Thursday 8th June, and the team is already thinking about their next charity venture.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers, family and friends for their valued support and the many generous donations given in support of this very worthwhile charity.
