I had a stroke in April and my Doctor suggested exercise to help aid my recovery. The sessions have been brilliant, I can't rate them highly enoughI Hollands
Our GP referral scheme is the starting point for people with underlying health conditions to utilise exercise to help improve their health and wellbeing.
The scheme includes 20 sessions designed to meet the direct health needs of the client who has been referred directly from their doctor. The sessions are structured to help patients achieve their goals and to help them become independent exercisers upon completion of the course. Each session is run by specially qualified instructors who will create a specific programme and be on hand during the sessions for advice and support.
Upon completetion of the sessions we aim to transfer customers over to our Health membership where they have the flexibility to use the gym at any time and become life-long exercisers.
Appointments available every Wednesday between 9.00am-5.00pm, email us to arrange | £75 for 20 sessions | £29 a month discounted health membership upon completeion of the course.
Ian Hollands has always led an active life enjoying badminton, tennis and some running, however in April he suffered a stroke which halted him in his tracks. His local GP suggested trying the exercise referral scheme run at Bexhill Leisure Centre to help him build up his strength and coordination to improve his symptoms.
Now just over half way through his sessions with Andy who holds a specialised qualification in exercise referral, Ian is making excellent progress. He says "It's been brilliant, I can not rate it highly enough"
Ian hopes to be able to return to the sports he loves after he has completed the course and can't wait to attend another park run.
