freedom leisure appoints new sustainability and environmental manager

November 17 2021

We are delighted to announce that Angela Brown will join our Senior Leadership Team and will play a key role in driving our sustainability and environmental objectives at all levels across the group to boost efforts towards a greener future.

As a not-for-profit leisure trust, we are set up with a simple mission - to “improve lives through leisure”. The organisation has always been acutely aware of its responsibility to carry out this mission in an environmentally friendly manner and has a proud record of investment in energy saving plant and equipment - as well as the implementation of a whole range of sustainable initiatives to minimise its impact on the environment.

I'm excited to be part of the team committed to encouraging healthy lifestyles whilst promoting environmental sustainability across all of its activities. Working from a great base of the work already done, we will be measuring our environmental impact and working towards boosting our environmental performance to become recognised leaders in this sector.

Angela Brown

We have been working hard for many years to reduce our carbon footprint and our costs with much success. Whilst we believe our work in this area is already highly regarded by our Customers, Clients and staff team - we believe we can, and will, do much more with Angela on board
