Our swimming for all session times will be changing from September. As we start our swimming lesson program we will have reduced lane swimming and swim for all session’s times throughout the week. The pool program will be under constant review and we will add more sessions as and when we can.

Below is an outline for the safety measures we have put in place to make these session operate in a safe way.

  • Lane swimming is for adults and young people aged over 12.
  • Swimming will be available in 45 minutes bookable slots, Please see pool timetable on our website for times click here.
  • You will need to book a swimming slot, this can be done via our website (Called swimming). To book online click here or call us on 01243 826612
  • Members can book upto 10 days in advance. Non-members can book 3 day in advance
  • We need to ensure we have names and contact details for all customers to ensure we abide by government guidance.
  • Please do not arrive early for your swim, 5 minutes prior will be great. If you are running late that’s fine, however the session will finish on time and you will not be allowed to run over.
  • Access to the centre will be via reception as before, however there will be social distancing measures in place when queuing to come in. We will have one receptionist and you will need to check in with them. We are currently taking card or contactless payments only.
  • You will need to come ‘Swim ready’ you will access poolside via the café which will take you straight onto poolside. On Poolside there will be boxes marked out where you will remove your outer clothing and leave your belongings (Lockers are not available so please bring as little as you can)
  • Before your swim you will need to take a pre-swim shower in the family shower area
  • We will have 1 slow lane, 2 medium lanes and a fast lane. These will all be wide lanes with a maximum of 10 people per lane. We will need you to select the lane that best suits you, our lifeguards may ask you to swap if you would be better suited to a different lane.
  • There should be no overtaking. No stopping at the end of the lane, unless you have to in order to get your breath back. If this is the case, then you should face away from the pool or get out and rest on the side.
  • We will not be able to provide any floats or pool aids
  • At the end of the session the lifeguard will blow a whistle to signal the end. If you finish before the end of the session that’s fine, you can collect you belongs and go to get changed as below
  • All participants must then vacate the pool, collect their belongings and go to the changing rooms to dry off and get dressed. There will be no showers, you will need to dry off, get changed and then leave via the normal route to reception, and leave via the signal door next to the main entrance there will be
  • The changing room cubicles can be used in both the male and female changing rooms, there will also be boxes marked on the floors for customers to stand in to change.

The changing rooms, toilets and poolside will be cleaned in between sessions ready for the next group to come in.

 

Swim for all sessions in Main Pool

  • All sessions require pre-booking, this can be done by either telephoning reception or coming into the centre.
  • Payment is required at the time of booking, no refunds will be given once a booking has been made.
  • Under 4’s swim free, our free swimming for swimming lesson children is suspended so all over 4’s will need to pay unless customers have a Direct Debit or Annual membership.
  • All participants should arrive no more than 5 minutes before the start of their session
  • All participants should arrive swim ready, there will be no access to changing rooms before your swim.
  • All participants will access poolside via the café which will take them straight onto poolside.
  • Each family will then make their way to a designated slot for their family or individual.
  • Once undressed, all participants must have a quick rinse in the family change showers and then enter the main pool
  • Normal admission policy applies
  • Normal Pool rules apply
  • We can’t loan out any pool equipment such as floats and woggles etc.
  • Social distancing must be adhered at all times, including in the pool.
  • At the end of the session the lifeguard will blow their whistle to signal the end, all participants will then need to exit the pool immediately.
  • You should then gather your belongings and then use the male and female changing rooms to get changed. Please note there are no showers. We ask that people do this as quickly as possible to ensure we have sufficient time to clean down the pool surround and changing rooms before the next group.
  • You should then exit the changing rooms and then follow the one way system out of the building. The café is open should you want to purchase refreshments

Please note there will be no lane swimming during Family swim times and customers booked in the main pool will not be able to use the learner pool and visa-versa.

 

Swim for all sessions in the learner pool

Our swimming for all session times will be changing from September. As we start our swimming lesson program we will have reduced swim for all session’s times throughout the week. The pool program will be under constant review and we will add more sessions as and when we can.

  • All participants will access poolside via the family change, you will then get changed in a family change cubicle.  Each Family must occupy just one cubicle.
  • Once undressed, all participants should leave their belongings in their changing cubicle and must have a quick rinse in the family change showers and then enter the learner pool. Lockers are not in use so please do not bring valuables.
  • Normal admission policy applies
  • Normal Pool rules apply
  • We can’t loan out any pool equipment such as floats and woggles etc

  • You should then return to your cubicle to get changed.  Please note there are no showers available. We ask that people do this as quickly as possible to ensure we have sufficient time to clean down the pool surround and changing rooms before the next group.
  • You should then exit the changing rooms and then follow the one way system out of the building. The café is open should you want to purchase refreshments

Please note the flume remains closed and customers booked in the learner pool will not be able to use the main pool and visa-versa.
