These works, agreed upon with Arun District Council and managed by G.M. Monk on behalf of West Sussex County Council, involve the removal and replacement of the main electrical intake serving the building.

These upgrades will modernise the building’s electrical systems, making our operations more sustainable and significantly reducing our environmental impact, ensuring a greener and more energy-efficient future for the centre.

FAQs

Can I use any of the facilities during the closure?

No, however all of our members are able to utilise the facilities at our sister site, Littlehampton Wave for the gym, swimming, classes and court bookings; subject to availability. Bersted Park Community Centre is also available, but for court bookings only; subject to availability.

Will I get a refund for the time you’re closed?

No, as our members and non-members are able to use the facilities at the Littlehampton Wave during the closure period.

Can I use my Arun only membership at the Wave?

Yes, absolutely.

Will there be any swimming lessons?

  • The last day of swimming lessons will be Thursday 12th December.
  • Swimming lessons that were due to take place between 13th December – 22nd December will have the cost of the lesson deducted from the January direct debit, so you will not pay for the missing lesson.
  • The swim school does not run for the 2 weeks of Christmas and the monthly direct debit amount already reflects this, so no refunds are due for the period 23rd December – 5th January 2025.
  • Swimming lessons return on Monday 6th January 2025.
