Freedom Leisure Training offer a number of Apprenticeship Programmes and are delighted to be able to provide so many employment and development opportunities for young people who want to work in the leisure industry.
What is an Apprenticeship?
An Apprenticeship is a package of training that is delivered while you are working. Apprenticeships allow you gain qualifications whilst earning a wage and are a fantastic way of putting theory into practice, as you gain real experience in the work place. The training includes, NVQ Diploma, Functional Skills, Technical Certificate plus a selection of additional courses that are relevant to the Apprenticeship you are on. You would work alongside your colleagues in a team but you will receive more training opportunities and will be given additional support.
Additional training provided
To complete an Apprenticeship, there is a minimum amount of training that you will be required to complete, but with Freedom Leisure Training we will offer you more training opportunities than this minimum requirement. We believe that to get the most from the Apprenticeship experience, additional training can only be a good thing, and because we deliver a wide range of training courses there are a number of options available. There is no question that Freedom Leisure Training offer more within our Apprenticeship Programme than other training providers.
Who is eligible to be an Apprentice?
Apprenticeships are available if you are aged over 16 and not in full time education. You must also not have completed a HND, higher qualification or degree. Whether you are just leaving school, seeking to start a new career or are moving into a new role with your existing employer, Freedom Leisure Apprenticeships could be the right pathway for you.
To be an Apprentice you must be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Apprenticeships can be offered at Level 2 (operational level), which take 12 month to complete, or Level 3 (including some managerial and supervisory responsibilities) which takes 18 months to complete.
What happens when the Apprenticeship ends?
At the end of the Apprenticeship it would be hoped that you are taken on as a permanent member of staff. This is the aspiration of the programme, but this decision would rest with the manager at the leisure facility where you are working.
Are you interested in becoming an Apprentice?
Anyone interested in becoming an Apprentice can contact the leisure facility where they are interested in working and find out if they have any opportunities. Alternatively we would be very happy to hear from you - please complete the enquiry form at the bottom of this page. We will arrange to meet you and then we can then see if there are any opportunities that we know of within Freedom Leisure, or we can talk to other leisure operators to find out if we can match you up.
Are you interested in employing Apprentices?
Freedom Leisure offer opportunities for Apprentices and Freedom Leisure Training can provide all the training required, so the whole programme is very self-contained. Freedom Leisure Training also work with other leisure operators and we would be very keen for any leisure facility to contact us if you would like to be involved in our Apprenticeship Programme.
