Whatever catering or food service operation you are involved in, food safety will be an important feature of your work.  To greater or lesser degree, depending on the level of risk presented in the workplace, it will always be a consideration and must always be taken seriously.  

Employers have a legal duty to take every reasonable care in all food safety issues, and a duty to minimise the risk of harm being caused by anticipating food safety problems and then taking appropriate steps to prevent them.  Employers are also legally required to employ staff who are competent in food safety in relation to their work, and one of the ways an employer can comply with these legal requirement is to make sure they are trained.

Freedom Leisure Training is a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) approved training centre.  The CIEH are one of the most respected awarding organisations and is the professional body for local authority environmental health services.  We offer a wide range of health and safety courses – the most popular and recognised is the one day CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety, but other courses we offer are:
