Whatever business, industry, service or leisure facility you are involved in, health and safety will be an important feature of your work.  To greater or lesser degree, depending on the level of risk presented in the workplace, it will always be a consideration and must always be taken seriously.  

Employers have a legal duty of care to ensure the health, safety and welfare of their employees, and that duty extends to non-employees (for example your customers).  Employers are also legally required to employ staff who are competent in health and safety in relation to their work, and one of the ways an employer can comply with these legal requirement is to make sure they are trained.

Freedom Leisure Training is a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) approved training centre.  The CIEH are one of the most respected awarding organisations and is the professional body for local authority environmental health services.  We offer a wide range of health and safety courses – the most popular and recognised is the one day Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace, but other courses we offer are:

CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (3 hours)
CIEH Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment (1 day/6 hours)
CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and Social Care (1 day/6 hours)
CIEH Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Principles (3 hours)
CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (2 days)

We also offer the ISRM Health and Safety Management Certificate (3 days) – a leisure specific course accredited by the Institute of Sports and Recreation Management.
