It is vitally important that organisations of any kind have staff, members or volunteers who are trained in First Aid and there are arrangements in place to handle ill health or injury.  Most First Aid incidents are minor, but unfortunately serious incidents can occur and the actions of a First Aider can be crucial before qualified medical help arrives, and can be instrumental in preserving someone’s life.

It is an important issue for employers, and the majority of workplaces are legally required to provide First Aid cover.  Guidance and information can be found by going to the HSE website:  www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid, and we strongly recommend that you consider your needs by carrying out a First Aid Risk Assessment (for advice, please contact us).
